Abstract
An agile approach to project management is becoming increasingly popular and widely used not only for software development projects but also in other areas. The aim of this diploma thesis is to use agile project management methodologies to solve the project titled „Development of a new customized e-commerce solution for the company KOBERCE BRENO, spol. s.r.o.“ and achieve the completion of its first phase, which is the development of a new e-shop. The project is implemented in collaboration with the development company Shopsys s.r.o., primarily using Scrum methodology, with Kanban for visual representation. The project starts with an analysis of the current situation and the proposal of the new e-commerce solution. The following is the development of the e-commerce solution and finally information about its maintenance and further growth. The first phase of the project was not completely finished by the expected deadline, and the launch of the new e-shop was postponed by four months, from February 2024 to June 2024. The second phase of the project, which involves the development of B2E functionalities and omnichannel principles, is currently in the implementation phase, with completion planned for November 2024. Every complex and comprehensive e-commerce solution relies on adequately functioning and integrating of all related elements, such as OMS, PIM or ERP systems. Problems with integrating the new e-shop with third-party systems became one of the primary factors causing delay in the project's first phase. Therefore, BRENO will continue its online business using the old e-shop until the planned launch of the new e-shop in June 2024 is carried out. Subsequently, hypercare tuning is planned after the launch of the new e-shop, followed by the gradual introduction of B2E functionalities and omnichannel principles.
