Analýza poklesu železniční nákladní přepravy

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the factors of decline of rail freight services and the contradiction between the declining economic importance of rail transport market and its increasingly strong position in the transport policy and public finance. After a historical comparison of the development of rail transport in our country and the world followed by assessing the current state. Subsequently analyzed, some basic problems in railway history occurred repeatedly, and in particular relations of the state and rail carriers, competition and monopoly in the rail and the relationship between the development of railways and the development of the regions. Work is concluded the final evaluation of all factors and causes of the current decline in rail freight transport in the transport segment and the performance of the largest Czech and European railway operators.
