Vzdělávací centrum Emauzy

Abstract

Education center Emauzy The diploma thesis focuses on the conceptual design and planning of the Education center Emauzy in the Prague 2 area. The site is bounded by a southern open space leading to Trojická Street, a monastery garden on the northern side, Pod Slovany Street to the west, and buildings along Vyšehradská Street to the east. It examines aspects related to integrating the center into the existing urban environment, considering the Emaus Abbey. Also offering insights into how the new Education center can contribute to the cultural and educational life of Prague 2, as well as improve the city‘s spatial quality. One of the key aspects of this work is the creation of a new public space that will serve as a link between the Education center Emauzy and the southern monastery garden. This space should be designed with consideration for aesthetic and functional elements that promote interaction, learning, and community engagement. Emphasis is placed on accessibility and safety to ensure an optimal environment for all users.
