Abstract
The aim of this bachelor work is characterized the functioning of the Common Commercial Policy, with particular focus on South Korea, to specify the trade relations between the European Union and the Republic of Korea and in terms of increased trade and commodity structure.
The first chapter is devoted to the definition of the overal trade policy. The next section desribes the basic concepts of trade policy and its formation. In this chapter, arguments are also evaluated for protectionism and liberalism. In connection with liberalism, the multilateral trading system and establishing the World Trade Organization are briefly defined. Conclusion of this section characterizes the trade policy tools and their basic structure.
The second chapter "The European Union and Common Commercial Policy" is about he individual steps of European integration, which led to the current European Union. Main part of the second chapter focuses on the Common Commercial Policy of the European Union, its objectives, institutional preconditions of the functioning and tools.
The third chapter is first analyzed the basic characteristics of South Korea in terms of political and economic. The main part deals mainly with the analysis of trade and political relations of the European Union with South Korea since the sixties to the present.
