Vliv deficitu státního rozpočtu na ekonomický růst vybraných zemí

Abstract

The diploma thesis was focused on how the role of the state budget deficit can influence economic growth in the OECD countries and the EU countries during the period from 1995 to 2013. The aim of the thesis was to find out the effect of selected variables on economic growth with the stress on budgetary imbalances while the growth model had been used. There were outlined possible solutions based on the empirical results. There were compiled a few models. The method of least squares with fixed effect cross-section period provided estimation of these models. Using the White period robust coefficient covariance estimator helped with refinement of the results. The negative relationship between the state budget deficit and economic growth were confirmed for both groups of countries. Despite any extreme growth restrictriction coming from the estimation, the lowering of budgetary imbalances has been important in many cases.
