Abstract
Due to the influence of recent years in Europe, the topics of mining and of reserves of mineral resources are being re-evaluated, leading to the selection of strategic minerals and to the support of their mining. Due to the lack of aggregates (crueshed stone), some raw materials are starting to become popular again. The European Green Deal focuses on the responsible mineral resources mining and gives chance to a new concept of mining in the form of Sustainable mining. The diploma thesis solve the assessment of the project to restart the mining of raw materials for aggregates and dimensional stone production in the underground of an abandoned mine, taking into account the possibility of other economically efective use, which will reduce the risk of investments and at the same time will minimize losses within the proposed exit strategy (Show mine). The aim of the thesis is to propose the correct use of the underground mine and mine production for presentation in tourism and education. In the conclusion, the basic economy will be assessed and marketing will be proposed for the presentation of the project and products. The thesis works with the idea that dimensional natural stone products such as stone paving slabs and stone walling tiles, have a lower carbon footprint than ceramic products and at the same time is developed the idea of their own hand-made production, which can be tried by visitors or even customers in
a "do-it-yourself" way..
