Abstract
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and construction of a demonstration heart sound simulator. The first part presents a theoretical review of the anatomy and physiology of the human heart, followed by an analysis of commercially available educational simulators. The aim of the work is to create an alternative to these devices. The device itself is based on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller and uses contactless RFID technology to detect the position of a modified stethoscope on a plastic manikin torso. The audio output is provided by an I2S audio amplifier and a database of heart sounds. The system allows switching between four auscultation scenarios (healthy heart, tachycardia, third heart sound, and systolic murmur). The thesis includes the hardware circuit design, custom printed circuit board (PCB) design, 3D printing models, and a description of the realization of the functional simulator.
