Abstract
The thesis is focused on the issue of technical efficiency of regional courts. The DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) method was chosen for evaluation of efficiency. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the technical efficiency of regional courts for the period 2014-2018 according to the DEA model, within the selected inputs and outputs. Regional courts are evaluated and tested over five years in two models (40 DMUs are evaluated). Both models were analyzed as input and output oriented, always assuming constant range yields (CRS) and variable range yields (VRS). The fulfillment of the objective was supported by two hypotheses, which in the end were confirmed. From the results of modeling it can be stated that in the technically oriented model M I. higher efficiency is achieved, and vice versa in the economically oriented model M II. lower efficiency is achieved. VRS-oriented models also achieved better efficiency results than CRS.
