Abstract

Presented thesis is oriented on the occurrence of the most common microorganisms in water environment. In the first part the water ecosystem is described together with specific influences and relations between particular microorganisms. The most important natural processes in the water environment that are directly affected by these microorganisms are mentioned. Moreover, the attention is given to the positive and negative influences of these microorganisms on the water environment and life in it. The next part gives an introduction to the best known bacteria pathogens, mould parasites, and in addition the most important representatives of algae, anabaena and their toxins. Main focus is given to the negative influences of these microorganisms on human and water organisms. Finally, the consequences of the over-reproducing of these microorganisms (such as eutrofisation) due to the pollution are described.
