Abstract

The bachelor thesis maps the possibilities of data visualization on the web. The theoretical part summarizes a brief overview of the history and the main reasons behind the origin and subsequent development of the visualization process. It also describes the capabilities of today's web browsers and the most commonly used javascript libraries for compiling diagrams. The tool that was chosen for the solution of graphical representation of data is the library D3.js, so the work also contains a summary of its basic principles and a detailed description in several steps that lead to the creation of any graph for individual purposes of other users. The practical part analyzes various types of data, the structure of which is characteristic of a narrow group of diagrams. Subsequently, the solution of four specific case studies from different areas that require different ways of visualization is outlined.
