Abstract
The subject of this thesis is the design of the braking unit with DC motor supply chopper with including considering losses. The work includes basic analysis of DC motor, chopper and dimensioning braking unit for the selected situation. In Matlab Simulink were created mathematical models of DC motor control, chopper and regulatory structures. In the models DC motor and chopper are included losses. For chosen situations for the drive are designed corresponding braking unit.
