Abstract
The dissertation thesis deals with to increasing mechanical properties of ductile iron, which is used for casting of inner part of hot strip mills. The main requirement is to increase tensile strength, ductility and hardness. The subject of the study was an influence of silicon carbide, alloying with cooper and influence of carbon additive type. In experimental melt was proven positive influence of SiC and copper to mechanical properties of ductile iron.
