Abstract
The main content of this thesis is an implementation of telephone exchange based on Open Source project Asterisk. As an OS I choosed Linux for its security and stability. The aim is to create a completely functional PBX with a Dial plan and pricing. The next step is a configuration of each end point. In an introductory part of my thesis I will analyse principles and IP telephony voice processing. Then I am going to explain how the most popular protocols SIP and H.323 work. In the last part of the thesis I will describe how to create own exchange steb by step.
