Abstract
The development of legislation and agricultural land condition in the Czech Republic force us to return to composting. Composting is an ideal type of stabilisation and utilisation of organic waste and at the same time a nutrients source for agro-cultures. It is necessary to fulfil certain some criteria for an efficient composting.
The main and primary criteria is to defining a right raw material compost structure, which significantly affects the final compost quality. The first part of this thesis describes the entire process of composting and factors influencing its course. The next part analyses the problem of the increased PH Value of the final compost in the compost facility OZO Ostrava s.r.o. The final part recommends how to focus on creating an ideal combination of the incoming materials, so that the pH Value fulfils the legal requirements.
