Abstract

Diploma thesis summarizes the basic principles of groundwater flow in crystalline rocks and the principles of permeability changes in the rock massif around underground openings. Numerical analysis of tunnel in Plaxis 2D is included. These calculations were trying to give a size and evaluation of excavation damage zones that may occur around the undreground openings. The calculations also served as a way to verify a suitability of the Plaxis 2D for this type computing tasks. The extent of excavation damage zones was processed in the program FEFlow. Then two variants of calculation, without discontinuity and with, were created. Subsequent comparsion of the two models help clarify the permeability changes of rock massif around the underground openings.
