Abstract
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the social and economic impacts of discharge to the debtor and also the verification of the hypothesis that the education has an impact on financial literacy and indebtness. Within this context, I propose a solution that could improve the level of financial literacy of citizens in the Czech Republic.
