The thesis deals with the security situation in the administrative district of Třebíč - municipality with extended powers. The introductory part describes general security issues and provides the definitions of key terms and the specification of security legislation. The next part is the characteristics of the area of interest and a list of authorities and bodies guaranteeing security within the area concerned. A separate chapter offers an overall overview of extraordinary events, including the occurrence of such events in individual municipalities. The information shared in these parts is then used for the subsequent analysis using the risk assessment methodology. The final part of the thesis provides the assessment of the level of safety and proposals for the improvements of existing measures.
