Abstract

The main aim of this thesis is a financial analysis of UNIPETROL RPA, s. r. o. This company is the leading producer of refinery, petrochemical and agrochemical raw materials in the Czech Republic. The financial analysis is performed between 2007 and 2011, at the time, when the economic and financial crisis occurred. It is monitored, how the company managed these influences and what financial steps the company took to reduce the impacts and what effects these measures had. The first part of this thesis is focused on the company introduction and the theoretical concept of the financial analysis. The second part of this work is dedicated to the financial analysis, especially status indicators as well as the ratios. It also includes a functional analysis. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to suggestions and recommendations, which should lead to the financial stability of the company.
