Abstract

My thesis is focused on the production of electricity with pumped storage power plants. The first part of the work is explaining parts of pumped storage and their principe, with what parameters they encounter and how to divide it, their position in other European countries. The next section deals with a summary of these plants in the Czech Republic and their detailed describing and determining their effectiveness. The following sections compare the pumped-storage power plants with gas and steam-gas power plants. I'll explain on what principle they work and their advantages and disadvantages to the transfer pumped storage stations. Compare the various types of power plants by installed capacity and electricity supply to the grid. We evaluate the economics of these plants and compare the proposed projects among themselves.
