Abstract

The dissertation deals with problems of “Phasor voltage measurement including precise time mark assignment and results interpretation”. Measurement has been realized with NI CompactRIO hardware ("National Instruments company" product) what is open hardware architecture, connecting controller to processor and RTOS, programmed FPGA logic array and I/O modules in one chassis. Included GPS module is precise time mark source. Theoretical part consists of overview of phasor voltage measurement possibilities, GPS technology for precise time signal PPS and IRIG. Further is mentioned trend to substitute classical measure equipment with virtual. Following is review of technical parameters of used NI CompactRIO hardware and way how to program NI CompactRIO hardware with graphic program language NI LabVIEW software. Practical part contains overview of program work, description of measuring method and voltage phasor results evaluation. Further there are explanation of important source code parts and check of software application functionality. NI CompactRIO and method results are summarized in dissertation conclusion together with posible further application and method development.
