Abstract
The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of photovoltaic power plants in the area of fire safety of buildings. The thesis can be imaginatively divided into two theoretical parts. The first part creates a general and theoretical basis on the topic of photovoltaic power plants. It is mainly about the principle of how they work, including the materials used and the types of individual components. The second part of the thesis concerns the area of fire safety. This assesses the impact of the installations on the fire safety solution of buildings, namely when placing PV panels on the roofs of buildings. Furthermore, experimental studies are discussed regarding the influence of the classification of roof cladding and the impact of PV panel installations on building roofs in a potential fire. Fundamental to this topic are the fire safety requirements for internal and external installations in compliance with existing legislation. As a final point for the safety of fire response and system repair, it is important to evaluate and design the appropriate method of shutting down PV systems.
