Abstract

Human resources management is a focal point of every organization, because it is the people who decide on it. This diploma thesis focuses on selected areas of human resources management at company Severočeské doly, a.s. Its aim is to determine the necessary workforce for the future period and to propose a system for the orientation and adaptation of new employees. At the beginning, a research of expert resources was made and the company Severočeské doly, a.s. was introduced. Then, using the graphical method and analysis of the development trends, the required number of employees for the following period is determined and based on the analysis of the current state of the process of orientation and adaptation of new employees, a proposal for improvement in the form of an orientation brochure and an adaptation plan for new employees.
