Abstract
The objective of this thesis is to characterize road and railway tunnels, determine which emergency situation may happen there and what is the probability of theirs occur. The theoretic part applies to categorization of tunnels and description of the control system. The explanation of the quick identification of the emergency situation in a tunnel, including delimitation of traffic control system -operator of the traffic/controller of the traffic, is also included in the theoretic part. All the current regulations related with the safety of the traffic are also summarized there. Next, there is the statistic of all emergency situations which happened in determined stretch of time, where there was at least one unit of IZS to intervene. The practical part applies to computation of the probability of the concrete emergency situations in the tunnels in the Czech Republic and Sweden. In conclusion, there are evaluated results of the calculations and also their comparasion.
