Abstract

This thesis is focused on the use of fly ash from coal combustion in classic granulation boilers as secondary raw material. The theoretical part is focused on describing the current state of the use of fly ash in the production of zeolites; for example, fly ash concrete, artificial stone, bricks and also describes the formation of fly ash under different conditions and the coal chemical, mineralogical, morphological and physical properties. The experimental part focused on the hydrothermal synthesis of zeolite power plant fly ash. The alkali activation amount used was 4 M NaOH in a 1:5 (10 g of fly ash to the 50 ml NaOH). For the second experiment, 50 ml Na-water glass was added The hydrothermal synthesis was carried out in an oven at 80 ° C for 3, 6, 9, 12 hours. After the conversion, the alkaline samples were filtered, dried and carried to the X-ray diffraction analysis.
