Management invazních druhů rostlin v nivě Odry

Abstract

The issue of plant invasions is currently in the forefront of botanists' and nature conservationists' interest. With the expansion of intercontinental transport and the influence of climate change, the number of invasive plants is increasing, which are spreading unchecked without natural competitors. This work deals with management methods that can significantly suppress the expansion of invasive species in European locations. The dissertation deals with the mechanical, chemical and combined method of elimination of three plant species: Impatiens grandiflora, Reynoutria japonica and Solidago canadensis. Chemical liquidation consists in the use of the selective herbicide GARLON NEW, the mechanism of action of which is the dehydration of the liquidated plant, in our case on the plant species Impatiens and Reynoutria. Furthermore, the total herbicide NEUDORFF FINALSAN is used in the research, the basis of which is formed by plant emulsions based on pelargonic acid. This herbicide does not leave residues in nature and is gentle, which is why it is a suitable choice for the elimination of invasive species growing near water courses and protected areas.
