Abstract

This diploma thesis on the topic of The use of quality management tools in improving the process of gear grinding deals with a comprehensive analysis of the quality of gear grinding and the subsequent design and implementation of corrective measures leading to improving the quality of ground gears. The aim of the work is to analyze the quality of gear grinding, determine possible defects and evaluate their risks using the FMEA method in the company TATRA TRUCKS a.s. The diploma thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the basic concepts of quality management, basic quality management tools, gear manufacturing process and the theory of the FMEA method. The practical part describes the characteristics of the company, initial analyzes of the quality of gear grinding are performed, corrective measures are proposed and their effectiveness is evaluated. At the end of the work, the procedure of application of the FMEA method to a specified gear wheel is described.
