Abstract

The first aim of my thesis was to give a basic overview and describe the connection between planning, creating, implementing and updating the strategic plan, as an output document of modern strategic planning. The second aim was to analyze the current strategic plan of the village Raškovice. The work is divided into five parts, the first one is the introduction. The second chapter defines the theory of strategic planning and the procedure for establishing the strategic plan. I used literature incurred primarily for the participation of the EU. Third, the practical part, focuses on the application of knowledge described in the theoretical part. I have analyzed the current strategic plan of the village Raškovice, valid for the period 2006-2010, and its main elements. Finally I usher several other investment projects which will appear in the next strategic plan. The fourth section assesses the strategic plan of the municipality in terms of quality and quantity of fulfilled intentions and objectives and includes my proposals and recommendations. I trust that my proposals are interesting and will be useful in practice.
