Abstract

The development of mining industry in the Czech Republic is also related to the development of mining legislation. The current legislation is based mainly on the end of the twentieth century. With ever-improving methods, equipment and procedures, it is necessary to ensure gaps in mining legislation that have arisen through development and inappropriate amendments. Updating mining legislation is currently inevitable and important, but also very complex and time consuming. It requires knowledge from several disciplines, namely geology, economics and above all from law. The aim of this work is to introduce the applied legislation and legislative requirements in the field of economical use of mineral resources in the Czech Republic, based on the analysis of the economical use of mineral resources at a selected mining company. Finally, on the basis of this analysis, the introduction of options and provisions to improve the economic use of mineral resources in the Czech Republic.
