Abstract
The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the provision of public services in selected municipalities of Zlín region taking into account the number of inhabitants from 2011 to 2015. The second chapter of the thesis deals with the theory of the public sector and public services. The third chapter is focused on the analysis of services, specifically on elementary schools and libraries and their economic activities. At the end of the thesis there are proposals and recommendations based on the results of the analysis.
