Abstract

In this bachelor thesis I deal with health insurance of self-employed persons and employees. In the theoretical part I focus on the description of historical development, then I define the basic terms, legislations and I describe the whole system of health insurance of individual premium payers. In the next part, I present individual, private and public Health insurances. I individually analyse each public insurance company and I determine their main contributions, which are provided to their clients beyond the public health insurance. Then I compare the biggest and the smallest insurance company through tables, which are verbally commented. In the last practical part I only focus on employees and self-employed persons. This part contains examples and calculations of health insurance with the use of knowledge from the theoretical part.
