Abstract

The work is aimed at the evaluation of the training and development system in company Smurfit Kappa Czech s.r.o., and analysis of current trends in training and development on the market. The main goal of the diploma thesis is the recommendation and proposal to improve the system of training and development in the organization. The theoretical part focuses on human resource management, training and development, the cycle of training and development, competency models, the effectiveness of training and development, analysis of trends in current training and development activities in the market and sociological research. The practical part describes and characterizes the company in terms of basic information, describes the organizational structure and product range. The main part of the diploma thesis in the practical part is devoted to the description of training and development in the organization and then the evaluation of questionnaire survey results. The final part presents possible suggestions and recommendations for improvement, which derive from the conducted sociological survey, but also from the analysis of market trends and all available information.
