Abstract

This thesis focuses on modification and processing of iron ore. In the first chapter, history of iron processing in our country and worldwide is lightly described. Second chapter focuses on characteristics of iron ore’s industrial deposits. It consists of two parts. The first part describes global iron ore deposits. The second part, which is substantially smaller, gives examples of deposits in domestic territory. Third chapter of the thesis summarizes basic information about industrial iron minerals. It is followed by fourth chapter which briefly describes main finishing process. Particular emphasis is placed on sections describing principles of commonly used technologies for treatment of iron ores. Last of all, results of analysis of the samples from HOA-PHAT deposit in Vietnam are presented.
