Abstract

The aim of this thesis was to develop a business plan for establishing a new salad bar and to evaluate, through environmental analyses, a financial plan, and risk assessment, whether the planned business has the potential to succeed in the market. The external environment of the business was analysed using the PEST analysis and Porter’s Five Forces model. The thesis also includes a marketing plan, in which the target group, the competitive advantage of the business, and the individual elements of the 7P marketing mix were defined. Within the financial plan, three scenarios were created, and financial statements were prepared for each of them. Risks were analysed and assessed using a risk analysis. To connect the external environment analysis with insights into the internal environment, a SWOT analysis was conducted. Based on the analyses performed and the financial plan, the author concluded that the business plan is feasible in two out of the three considered scenarios.
