Abstract
This thesis deals with the issue of personal bankruptcies to analyze the economic impacts of the debtor in practice.
The first part specifies the basic concepts of personal bankruptcy. There is described a bankruptcy legislation, the development of the Insolvency law and the particulars of the proposal on debt relief. This chapter focuses on the personal bankruptcy of married couple.
The second part of this thesis defines the economic impact of a debtor who is in the process of personal bankruptcy. There are described the reasons for indebtedness. It is explained in detail the procedure for calculating unseizable amount.
The next chapter deals with the analysis of debtors. Information from its own analysis are compared with the data published by the Finance company in distressin in Ostrava.
