Abstract
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of the contributions of the Czech Republic in the framework of Euro-Atlantic security, while examining key aspects of the Common Security and Defense Policy of the EU, cooperation between the EU and NATO and the specific contribution of the Czech Republic in the field of European security. The first chapter provides an overview of CSDP development up to the present, while the second chapter describes the mutual relationship and synergy between the EU and NATO. The third chapter is devoted to the direct contribution of the Czech Republic to European security, focusing on its participation in international missions, such as those in Afghanistan and Mali, and on the increasing defense spending directed towards the modernization of military equipment. The aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive view of the role of the Czech Republic in the Euro-Atlantic security structures. The thesis demonstrates that the Czech Republic plays an active role in CSDP and its efforts in international missions and defense initiatives contribute to maintaining and strengthening security in the European area.
