Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis recommends an appropriate booking system for the sports centre Unnosport. In the thesis, a historical development is described and principles of reservation systems, their functions and features are presented. The division of reservation and information systems is analysed and their user roles are described. Selected reservation systems designed for sports centres, namely the Bizzy, Booker, AFIT Web, WDI systems are compared; subsequently, the most suitable system is selected from them. The thesis deals with a survey of whether or not the on-line booking system should be implemented at the sports centre; it means whether customers of the centre would welcome this reservation system and utilize it subsequently. The thesis contains the results of questionnaires, on the basis of which the information system Unnosport is recommended to be extended with on-line booking to improve services provided to customers.
