Hodnocení efektivnosti vybraného hokejového klubu pomocí DEA metody a regresní analýzy

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the evaluation of efficiency in ice hockey using DEA models and regression analysis. In the introduction, basic concepts in the sport, ice hockey history and statistics such as points, penalty minutes and shots are defined. The methodology section discusses DEA and regression analysis methods, including basic concepts, models, and the econometric modeling process. In the practical part, this knowledge and methods are applied to the Boston Bruins hockey team. The results are compared and the findings are summarized in the conclusion of the paper. Based on the results, recommendations are formulated for improving team efficiency, so that this work can be useful for coaches and managers of hockey teams who are trying to improve the performance of their teams, as well as for fans and the general sports schema_dspacedb.
