Abstract
The intent of this bachelor thesis is a detailed analysis of current global literary knowledge of the use of synthetic slags without fluorspar for deep desulfurization of steel.
In the introduction of the theoretical analysis are discussed the basic patterns of molecular and ionic theory of slags and the description of the slag properties, such as electrical conductivity, viscosity, surface tension and density.
The next more extensive chapter is devoted to its own characteristics of fluorspar systems, synthetic slags systems and to critical conditions for the desulfurization process using synthetic slags in the refining of metal in secondary metallurgy.
The conclusion of the bachelor thesis summarizes the global experience with desulphurisation processes using synthetic slags.
