Abstract

Options to Improve of Air Quality in the Bohumin Town and its Surroundings This thesis is concerned with assessing the possibilities of improving air quality in Bohumín town and its surroundings. Air quality is one factor which affects a considerable part of the health of citizens and the overall state of the environment as a result, if only air pollution negatively. Thesis initially deals with the content and concepts of air protection legislation in the Czech Republic, including all the documents that complement this protection. The legislative framework for air protection policy of the Czech Republic the following description of the documents that are developed to protect air quality in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The next chapter explains the development of air quality in the Moravian-Silesian Region in recent years, including aspects which operate on air quality. Subsequently, it deals with individual sources of pollution and measures to reduce emissions in the city Bohumin, including those proposed. The thesis is concluded with a final summary.
