3D dokumentace a vizualizace kulturních památek s využitím digitálních technologií

Abstract

The arrival of new technological solutions affects all areas of human activity. Progress not only brings new methodological work procedures, the simplification of production processes, but also creates opportunities for the application of specific procedures in situations where it was impossible or impractical until now due to certain limiting factors. Progress opens the door to new possibilities for interdisciplinary cooperation. Through my research activity in the field of documentation and visualization of cultural monuments using digital technologies, I try to find a way to effectively combine the two most technologically advanced measuring technologies - photogrammetry and laser scanning. Through research, I try to build on the theoretical foundations of the valid certified methodologies of the "Národního památkového ústavu, ČR " and create a methodological procedure that expands the existing work procedures with guidelines for the process of processing measured data, creating 3D models and their presentation and visualization using new visualization tools in an environment of augmented and virtual reality. As part of the dissertation, it will be necessary to examine the current and future possibilities of visualization and presentation of 3D data in the X-reality environment, to optimize the created methodological procedure of documentation and visualization of cultural monuments, to verify and prove the research results by applying the methodological procedure to real tasks in practice. The final output of my work will be applications specifically developed for the purpose of presenting and visualizing 3D models in the X-reality environment, which will find their application for the purposes of documentation and visualization of cultural monuments, but also in the dynamically developing world of virtual tourism. With my thesis, I try to point out the opening space for geodesy in various industries, which is created by technological progress in the field of laser scanning and photogrammetry and the development of new software tools designed for data visualization in augmented reality. I believe that I will succeed in inspiring surveyors to find new applications for our profession in fields where geodesy has not yet penetrated.
