Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis and optimization of the supplier management system at CEBES a.s., with a focus on the specific and demanding standards of the automotive industry. The main objective of the thesis is to identify weaknesses in current supplier selection and evaluation processes and to propose measures aimed at strengthening supply chain resilience and increasing procurement efficiency. The theoretical part defines key concepts of Supply Chain Management (SCM), strategic procurement models, and the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard. The practical part analyzes the company's procedural framework, the methodology for selecting new partners, and the continuous performance evaluation system implemented through Q-Lanys software support. The analysis includes a case study of the nomination process for the GEN 6 project, which revealed risks associated with the Single Sourcing strategy and the high administrative burden of manual communication. The synthesis of findings using SWOT analysis resulted in the proposal of five development measures, including the implementation of artificial intelligence tools for market screening, the introduction of a digital SRM portal, a development program for category B suppliers, and deeper integration of ESG criteria into the nomination process. The proposed solutions aim to modernize the procurement function in accordance with Industry 4.0 principles and strengthen the company's competitiveness as a Tier 1 supplier.
