Abstract

The work is focused on the analysis and design of concrete plates using the finite element method and finite difference method. The methods are algorithmized in Matlab. To illustrate the function of the program are selected examples of plates that are confirmed the accuracy of the results, which are achieved. The resulting internal forces and deformations are verified in Scia Engineer. Calculated internal forces of a selected task are used to design according to standards. Aim of the work is compare of computation time that is required to solve system of linear equation.
