Abstract
This work deals with supermartensitic stainless steels, which use the mechanism of precipitation hardening during the quality heat treatment. In the first part of this thesis fundamental knowledge about martensitic stainless maraging steels is summarized. Their structure, properties, quality heat treatment and basic characteristics of precipitation hardening process are discussed. Experimental part of thesis is focused on the Custom 465 supermartensitic stainless steel. The effect of quality heat treatment parameters on properties and microstructure of this supermartensitic maraging steel is analysed.
