Abstract

The thesis is aimed at creating the data warehouse consolidating the data sources that record species composition, to a standardized data structure enabling by the help of an integral algorithm the calculation of species composition for various hierarchical levels of aggregation. The work basis is the research of MS SQL server, its possibilities to work with three - dimensional information as well as a study of possible data sources for the calculation of species composition. It is followed with the proposal of a new data warehouse including integration data sources studied, and the analysis of a contemporary algorithm for the calculation of species composition. Pursuant to analysis the proposal of new algorithms for the calculation of species composition and their testing in MS SQL server environment are made.
