Abstract

The master thesis deals with the design and assessment of the load-bearing structure of a multi-storey administrative and residential building made of wood-based materials. The introducing includes an analysis of structural systems for administrative and residentital buildings, followed by the selection of the most suitable strustural systems for the proposed structure. The thesis includes thelayout design, a static calculation of load-bearing and bracing elements and chosen joints. The selected elements and joints were also evaluated for fire resistence. The work includes a 3D model created in the RFEM program, a section of design documentation and a drawing documentation of representativ joints. In conclusion, a method for assembling the load-bearing system was proposed.
