Rekonstrukce a přístavba starého mlýna ve Frýdlantu nad Ostravicí

Abstract

„As we know very well the house is constructed on four legs as a chair. One of the legs is an architect, second one is a client, the third one is a building company and the fourth is a landscape or an environment. At the moment when there are these four legs together we have chance to do something.“ Martin Rajniš

The client required to create the complex of structures with function of luxury hotel. The main requierement during the construction was to preserve the original character of the building as a mill. To the context of the building with historical and moral valuation were involved the activities of hotel and restaurant which there were not before. During planning phase the views were taken into consideration and it was a main factor influencing the building height. Also because of the fact that there is a villa in the neighbourhood it was necessary to respect that in the layout of the plants and exterior.
