Abstract
The dissertation entitled „Conversion of the Lazy Mine in connection with the circular economy“ deals with a comprehensive evaluation and analysis of the possibilities of conversion of the abandoned part of the Lazy Mine based on the principles of the circular economy. The main goal of the work was to identify the optimal use of this location with regard to sustainable development and economic efficiency. To achieve this goal, a number of sub-goals were set, which included the analysis of the current state of the site, the identification of potential ways of use and the evaluation of these variants using multi-criteria evaluation methods.
One of the key steps was the use of the TOPSIS method, which enabled a comprehensive evaluation of different variants of the use of the site based on predetermined criteria and the weights of these criteria, determined using the Saaty method. This approach ensured an objective and systematic assessment, while the analysis showed that the most suitable option for the conversion of part of the Dolu Laza is hydrogen production. This conclusion was supported by the unequivocal assessment of all three evaluators. As part of the dissertation, an extensive search of professional literature and studies was carried out, which provided a solid basis for analysis and evaluation. Based on the results, a number of recommendations were proposed for the further development of the Lazy mine area, which reflect the need to integrate ecological, economic and social aspects in accordance with the principles of the circular economy. The dissertation thus brings a new perspective on the possibilities of regeneration of industrial brownfields and presents concrete proposals for the use of these areas, which can serve as inspiration for similar projects in the Czech Republic and abroad.
