Abstract

This thesis deals with biosorption, its mechanisms and modeling, as well as issues of Cr (VI) in an aqueous environment and, last but not least, the application of influencing biosorption mechanisms including pH, particle size and sample preparation biosorbents - apricot pits (Prunus armeniaca). For a description of thermodynamic processes have been used variables: change in Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and entropy change. For the studied biosorbents biosorption proceeded exothermically, spontaneously and spontaneously. Effect of pH on the sorption properties of biosorbents, grain size and chemical treatment relative to the untreated sample were detected, including biosorption properties biosorbents. Optimum sample is of the grain size < 0,5 mm, which was activated with hydrochloric acid of 2.0 mol l-1 for 15 min. He was then modeled using the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms.
