Abstract

This bachelor's work discusses in the theoretical part the issue of solar energy in the Czech Republic. It will focus on the general theory of solar energy, as well as the implementation of solar technologies in the Czech Republic and its subsequent use. It will also focus on weather conditions affecting the generation of energy from the sun. The practical part will be to analyse the off- grid system on the campus of the Technical University of Ostrava. The analysis will focus on running this plant in the winter months and evaluating the operation of the plant. The evaluation will target losses on snow days and a projected contraction in production over the 3 winter months
