Abstract

The thesis concerns the design and realization of the power-assisted steering of the demonstration vehicle with electric drive – Democar. At the beginning of the text part, convectional power-assisted steering types dividing is mentioned. The theoretical description of the power-assisted steering is following. The selection of the used components is supported with the number of calculations, function descriptions, listing values and graphs. The textual part describing the practical realization also includes detailed description of the power-assisted steering controlling unit (SCU) with the functions and parameters description of the particular circuits. Within the purview of the controlling application software development, the description of the flow charts and particular calculations for correct turning of the wheels according to prescribed demands is given. The goal of the thesis is the implementation of the suggested conception into the vehicle structure described.
